»Holy Eucharist

"The Most Holy Eucharist is the most august sacrament, in which Christ the Lord himself is contained, offered and received, and by which the Church constantly lives and grows." (Canon 897)

Second grade students in School of Religion and Ascension Catholic School prepare for the celebration of First Eucharist. Students should have attended religion class in first grade in order to receive these sacraments. Parents and students are expected to take a very active part in their preparation for both sacraments. All requirements will be explained at two mandatory parent meetings. Contact the Parish Office for more information.

Students in 3rd though 8th grade who have not received Eucharist for the first time will prepare separately in addition to their attendance at SOR classes in their grade levels.

Adults entering into full communion with the Church must attend RCIA classes prior to their First Eucharist. Please contact the RCIA chairperson for information regarding adult First Eucharist.
