The task of the ministry of Social Concerns is twofold: first, to enhance the consciousness of our parish community to the needs of others around us - within our parish, our city, the KC metropolitan area, our nation and the world; second, to facilitate and coordinate efforts of our parishioners in response to those needs. Through study and prayer we seek to discern how the Lord is calling us to feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, comfort the afflicted, promote peace and work for a more just society.
