Presently there are numerous choirs;
a musician/cantor program and a bell choir.
All age groups are represented in our choirs
and we encourage and welcome all interested people to join
a group that interests them. Training is available and auditions
are required for solo voices and musicians. Weekly rehearsals
vary for each group.

Ascension Adult Choir: Sing
at 10 a.m. Mass on Sundays, or other liturgies as scheduled.
Requires commitment to preparation, rehearsal, and attendance
when choir is scheduled. High school and adult voices, please.
Rehearsals are 7 p.m. on Thursdays.
Bell Choir:
Participate in providing bell music for liturgies. Youth
in grades 4 thru 8 are eligible. Requires commitment to preparation,
rehearsal, and attendance when choir is scheduled.

Cantor:
Lead the congregation in prayer through music at Sunday
Masses and special celebrations. This is a solo voice ministry.
Audition and training required. Training is available for
those interested. Requires commitment to preparation, rehearsal,
and attendance when scheduled.
Children's Choir:
Sing twice a month at scheduled Sunday Masses. Children
in grades 3 through 8 are eligible. Requires commitment
to preparation, rehearsal, and attendance when choir is

Contemporary Choir:
Sing contemporary music (accompanied by guitar, flute, etc.)
at 5:00 p.m. Saturday Mass. High school and adult voices,
please. Requires commitment to preparation, rehearsal, and
attendance when choir is scheduled.
Rehearsals are 7 p.m. on Mondays.
Folk Choir:
Sing at 8:15 a.m. Mass on Sundays. Requires commitment to
preparation, rehearsal and attendance when choir is scheduled.
High school and adult voices, please.
Rehearsals are 7 p.m. on Wednesdays.
Instrumentalists:
Provide music with trumpet, violin, cello, oboe, etc., at
Sunday Masses and other
special celebrations. Requires audition and commitment to
preparation, rehearsal, and attendance when
scheduled.
LIFE Choir:
Sing contemporary music accompanied by guitar, clarinet,
drums, etc., at 5 p.m. Mass on Sundays. Youth voices, please
(adult leadership provided). Requires commitment to preparation,
rehearsal, and attendance when choir is scheduled.

Organists/Pianists:
Provide musical accompaniment to choirs and cantor at Sunday
